All tests ridden at the 2012 Three Phase Event will be taken from the FOSH Rule Book, go to their website: www.fosh.org look under the current IJA Dressage Manual, Appendex 7 Dressage Tests and Patterns, page 155.

Beginner Novice Test -   IJA 2 Gait Dressage Test "A"

Novice Test - IJA 2 Gait Dressage Test "E"

Training Test - IJA Training Level Test 1

Please refer any questions to Vicky Esquivel at ecuestres@msn.com regarding any of the dressage tests.

Anyone wanting to get their scores for some of these tests before the 3 Phase Event, can ride any of those tests at the KMSHA show, or if they chose a different test they need to let me know right away so I know we are prepared. All tests will be ridden in a 20 x 60 meter standard dressage arena. Once we know the number of entries I will printout the test score sheets for the judges. Thanks.

GaitedTestBack - Review for questions on your horses gaits

The riders at an event where there are different breeds should indicate on the entry form what breed they will be riding. The gait they ride for "flat walk" would be the normal traveling gait for their horse. Paso largo/paso corto or foxtrot (for Mountain Horses) or a slow tölt for Icelandic horses, or the show gait for mountain horses.
In these tests, the "flat walk" was substituted for trot. Running walk and longer striding is asked for in the more advanced tests. For a mixed breed, the rider/trainer must decide which basic gait the horse does best and show it consistently - the gait could be noted on the front of the test so the judge will know what to evaluate. Free walk should show a relaxed stretch into the rein with the poll at least level with the withers.
